October Meeting

Ladies,

What a whirlwind meeting! I first want to apologize for the mix up of the meeting location. I goofed up and did not get to the Chamber in time to the key. My biggest apologies to Erin who did not get her message until after she waited at the Chamber and wondered where we were...so sorry Erin.

Cecelia and Sharon..the food was so yummy..anyone game for being snacks for the November meeting?

Thanks for everyone who donated coats and who donated to Pam for her walk. Many of you talked about being able to donate online..www.the3day.org is the website.

Our Premier Jewelery Party is coming up on November 19th. The lady we are working with is willing to make out our postcards and mail them for us!! Please email your names and addresses to Stacey (slayman@wvhtf.org) or bring them with you to our November General meeting (November 2) We will also be signing up for providing refreshments for the party at the meeting.

Speaking of our November General Meeting, our monthly project for November is a "Meal in a Bag" so be watching for buy one get one free sales and remember to pick up a few extra groceries this month to bring with you.

We decided to hold our Holiday Party on December 1st at Nan's house. We are also going to use this time to invite new members to learn more about the League. In the past we have done a Chinese gift exchange, so we are asking that you bring one $10 gift for yourself and an extra one to throw in for any potential members that might be coming. The Holiday/New Member Party is also serving as our general meeting in December so we will be collecting our pajamas for the pajama program. If you would like to learn more about this project we will be supporting please visit their website at www.pajamaprogram.org . Our local drop off is the Bartlet House (the homeless shelter in Morgantown).

Please get any names and address of women you would like to invite into the League to Sharon (slzeckhesse@aol.com), she is also looking for help with the Membership Committee.

Some upcoming events in the Spring are our Elimination Dinner and Kids in the Kitchen/Book Fair. These committees are looking for members to start planning this events now. If you are interested in helping with the Elimination Dinner please contact Stacey (slayman@wvhtf.org) or Erin (eeverly@comcast.net) or with the Kids in the Kitchen project please contact Deanna (wvasweetness@gmail.com) or Cecelia (magintamoon@yahoo.com)

Again, I am so pleased to have to write up a large update because that means we are busy doing things!! Be watching for pictures from the Pink Ladies Night Out event..what a great event that was. You have to see the beautiful table Erinn set up and the great event board that Deanna put together. Thank you for everyone that donated items for the basket and baked goods.
