I spoke to Colleen Morris of the Mannington Clothing/Food Pantry. They were VERY appreciative of the donation. They had already done their big beginning of the school year giveaway but she said usually around January people start asking for school stuff again. If you had not gotten the chance to give me yours, you still have time and they will still use it.

Pam Nolan will be walking in and if you choose to donate, please bring your donation to our October Business Meeting.
We also will be collecting gently used coats, hats and gloves for the Fairmont Clothing Closet. So search your and your families closets for any coats that you really don't wear anymore.
Stacey has booked our Premier Jeweler Party fundraiser. Please be working on getting names and address of those you want to invite. The date of the party is Thursday November 19th at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce.
I feel so great typing in all these projects and fundraiser that we are doing...they are signs of life for our League..I am so happy.

It sounds like you are off to a great start! I talked with Paula a little and threw out the idea of partnering/collaborating with another group on a project. By doing that we would increase out people power and also meet more people. If anyone has ideas, I would be happy to help make contacts or research things.
