More on the April Meeting

Good news - we have joined the Marion County Chamber of Commerce! As a result, we are looking to save some much needed funds and no longer rent the office. We will be looking to get out by June 1st, after which time meetings will likely be held at the Marion Co. Chamber's office. Thanks, Nan, for handling this issue for us!!!

Thanks also go out to Kathy for handling the delivery of the donations of cleaning supplies to Chestnut Ridge!

Send nominations to Paula ASAP so she can get this issue wrapped up and we can vote on officers for the 2008-2009 year!

Miranda & Lindsey will be coordinating for our Mother's Day donation to HOPE. We decided to purchase copies of Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul for the women at HOPE. The shelter is also looking for donations of gently used bed linens (twin size beds), towels, etc. New is, of course, also welcomed! Travel sized toiletries are always welcomed! Miranda will be finding out if there are other items that we can donate - so continue to check the Blog for information on our May Project!

Mark your calendars for June 7th for the Fairmont Finds Fundraiser (yard sale) in conjunction with the Fairmont General Hospital sale. Start marking your items and setting them aside now! Please let Stacey know if you have any portable/folding tables that we can utilize for this event!

As a result of vacating the office by our goal of June 1st, there will be no refreshments provided at the upcoming Board and General Meetings. Feel free to bring something to eat/snack on for yourself if you are in need of dinner! Be prepared for these upcoming meetings to be working meetings - dress appropriately to eliminate the accumulation of "stuff" from the office.

Next Board Meeting is Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30 PM - all members, even those not on the Board are welcome as we will be doing more cleaning/sorting than meeting.

Next General Meeting is Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30 PM.
