Ladies,
Courtney said that Chicken n Bones is fully on board with the Pajama Program. I should have a final count on those after the Dec 18th. Also Deanna shared that her son Wes's daycare jumped right in and helped collected Meal in Bags this put our final count to 57 meals and $20 cash donation! These are perfect examples on how we as a small League can still make a huge difference. We all have families, co-workers, friends who can help us. They do not have to be a part of the Junior League to help us with our projects. Our January DIAD is Meal in a Bag again. Please encourage people who you know and will see over the holidays to help with the collection of food for our food pantries.
A big thank you for those who were able to make it out Monday to shop for our Angel Tree Kids. I cannot wait to hear about all the goodies that you got for our little ones.
The Premier Jewelry is coming in so watch your porch for deliveries. If you came to the party and ordered, I have your orders. If you collected outside orders, your order and the orders you collected will be coming to your house.
I also want to take his time to encourage you again to be checking the AJLI website regularly. I found this article and found it very interesting.
http://www.ajli.org/?nd=sesamestreetCan you imagine us on Television??? We will be on radio shortly. Cecilia is looking for folks that will be willing to be interviewed on by her hubby on the radio about the Junior League and all we do. Please let Cecila know if you are willing to do this. (magintamoon@yahoo.com) Ithink it would be great if the Project Chairs (or someone else if they can talk them into it) would talk about our projects. Pajama Project, Reach out and Read, Kids in the Kitchen, Silent Witness, Pink Ladies Night Out, Out Done in a Day Projects...you know who you are. She said the interviews can be pre taped.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and will enjoy the upcoming Holidays.
As always, thanks for all you do!
Paula
