As a reminder for those of you who were there...and an update for those of you not there, here's a brief summary of what happened at the regular meeting, January 8, 2008.
January Board Meeting will be held at Jennie's on January 29th at 6:30 PM. We will be compiling the goody bags for the February community service event, so bring your stuff with you (or drop it off to a Board member).
February Meeting - February 5 - office. It's "Shrove Tuesday"...so are there any takers on providing snacks on such a gluttonous day??? Let Jennie know if you're interested in providing snacks.
February Community Service - Friday, February 8, 2008, Nursing Home Valentines, TBD (nursing home - information will be forthcoming, so check the Blog later for meeting time and location.) We'll be visiting a local home and bringing travel sized lotions, word search puzzles, slippers, etc. to those in need. We'll be doing a social event afterwards (someplace like Applebees in Fairmont or Starbucks if we're in Morgantown.) Tentative Snow Date is February 22nd.
March - we'll be doing the Home & Garden Show in Fairmont with the book fair and possibly the Kids in the Kitchen. Stacey and Erin will be putting together a home & garden-themed basket for us to raffle as well. More detailed information will be forthcoming on the date, location, and other necessary info on the Home & Garden Show.
April - our tentative plans for community service are preparing meals at either the Ronald McDonald House or the Family House in Morgantown.
May - our tentative plans for community service are to collect household items for Chestnut Ridge in Morgantown.
